Personal
Statement

Teaching is my vocation and I believe it is what I was born to do. I have the energy and passion to inspire my students, colleagues and community and make positive changes and contributions to our education system.

In the classroom my aim is always to promote the highest learning, success and wellbeing of my students through an integrated, supportive and inclusive curriculum.

My practice is underpinned by frameworks such as The Victorian Curriculum, The Framework for Improving Student Outcomes (FISO), High Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS), The Principles of Learning and Teaching, The Australian Standards for Teachers and The Melbourne Declaration on Educational Goals for Young Australians.

Personally I draw on great thinkers and leaders in education to inspire me such as: Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Ghandi, John Dewey, Maria Montessori and Sir Ken Robinson.
