Literacy in the classroom

"You can find magic wherever you look, sit back and relax all you need is a book" Dr Seuss

The literacy program in my classroom contains a myriad of opportunities for language experience, shared books, guided reading, modelled writing, shared and guided writing and independent reading and writing. In my role as a teacher, I provide a learning enviroment that inspires the love of literacy with meaningful, rich and engaging experiences that are relevent to the lives and needs of my students. My aim is to foster the love of reading and writing for my students so that they can make meaning, express themselves and become lifelong learners.
